Chess Assistant 9.1

Chess Assistant 9.1 Starter package includes a strong game engine Shredder 9.11 (ELO rating 2750), a convenient mode of entering and analysing games, Chess Opening Encyclopedia 2006 , powerful search system, unique Tree mode , the database of 1 000 000 games played by masters and grandmasters that can be automatically updated through the Internet each week with 3000 new games (for free till the end of 2008).

Chess Databases DVD presents the best chess databases of games in two formats - PGN and Chess Assistant, which can be used in the popular programs Chess Assistant, Chess Base, Fritz , Shredder, Junior, Hiarcs and etc .
The database HugeBase includes 3 155 000 games from the beginning of the chess history till the 1st of May 2007 .
It is one of the cleanest and most approved databases without duplicates. The number of games with less than 10 moves is just 0.8%. The players' library consists of more than 200 000 chess players with unique names, and more than 50 000 of them are included into the rating list of FIDE . Each game has exhaustive information: participants, date of the game, place, tournament class, opening index. The database HugeBase in Chess Assistant format includes 36 000 commented games.

FREE DATABASES

Scid ("Shane's Chess Information Database") is a chess database application for Windows and Linux operating systems. With Scid you can maintain a database of chess games, search games by many criteria, view graphical trends, and produce printable reports on players and openings. You can also analyze games with the chess program Scidlet or any other WinBoard-compatible chess engine, and even use Scid to study endings with endgame tablebases.

ChessDB is a free chess database which can be used on Microsoft Windows, Linux, Apple Macs running OS X, FreeBSD, as well as most if not all modern UNIX versions. The program has translations into English, Spanish, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian and Swedish. The documentation is excellent, although currently most is only in English, but this situation is changing rapidly.

José is a graphical Chess tool.
You can store chess games in a database (backed by MySQL).
You can view games and edit variations and comments.
You can play against a "plugged-in" chess engine and use it for analysis.

UTILITIES

There are several ways to specify the criteria on which to extract: textual move sequences, the position reached after a sequence of moves, information in the tag fields, and material balance in the ending. The program includes a semantic analyser which will report errors in game scores and it is also able to detect duplicate games found in its input files.
